Since our humble beginnings in 2013, Chromacon has continued to be held biennially in Aotea Centre, Auckland, New Zealand.

Located at the heart of Auckland CBD, Aotea Centre is one of New Zealand’s most iconic arts and events centres and venue to some of our most memorable art and cultural experiences.

Opened in 1990, Aotea Centre was designed around specially commissioned works by some of New Zealand's most famous contemporary artists. This emphasis on design, public accessibility together with large expanses of space bathed in natural daylight, make it the perfect home for Chromacon and our exhibitors.

Currently undergoing refurbishment, Aotea Centre will reopen in March 2019 featuring a sophisticated new wall, floor/ lighting treatments and more.
